GRIPP 2010 PRE-FALL ‘FEMME’

Full-on glamour, rock-hard chic, and the birth of the supermodel era influence Dianne Grgat’s 2010 Pre-Fall collection for Gripp Jeans. In Grgat’s glam manifesto, tussled hair, she-devil red lipstick and gold adornments thrust 80s power dressing into the noughties.

The collection is built on strong angular silhouettes, highlighted by extreme splits, sexy cut-outs, criss-crossing straps and gold buckles and chains that rule with an iron fist. The look is a little bit sexy, a little bit slutty, with bras and midriffs on high rotation. Bleached denim on denim and leather combinations make for a firm and ferocious approach to dressing. The darker side of Grgat’s collection is balanced with floatier silk pieces, draped, cinched and puffed into frou-frou cocktail dresses.
